This handcrafted model tree represents a naturally grown summer plum tree with a tall trunk and a broad, rounded crown in full leaf. The rich green foliage with a suggested fruit set makes this tree ideal for designing small gardens, orchards and tree rows along country roads and village streets on your model railway layout or diorama.
The cultivated plum (Prunus domestica), prototype for this model, probably originated from hybrids of different wild plum species and is now widely grown in temperate regions, especially across central Europe. In cultivation, depending on variety, rootstock and training system, trees usually reach heights of about 3 to 10 metres. Choose the model height that matches your scale or follow our recommendation for your model railway gauge to recreate characteristic summer plum trees in miniature.
