This handcrafted copper beech in summer with a branched or multiple trunk brings deep red foliage colours to your model landscape. The densely foliated crown reaches almost to the ground and emphasises the characteristic twin or multiple trunk – ideal as an eye-catching focal point in parks, gardens or at prestigious locations on your layout.
Copper beech (Fagus sylvatica f. purpurea) is a cultivated form of the European beech. Its most striking feature is the dark red to purple colour of the leaves. Across Europe it is widespread; in forests mature specimens can reach heights of 30 to 40 metres, while as a solitary tree in parks and gardens it usually remains noticeably lower. During the growing season the leaf colours may shift slightly – from intense red to more brownish or slightly greenish tones. As the materials used in model making cannot reproduce these subtle nuances realistically, we offer this beech variant only in a summer version.
