The foliage mat with birch foliage from miniNatur^® is a realistic material for greening self-built model trees in small scales from 1:160 to 1:220 (N to Z). Warm, slightly muted golden yellows and straw-coloured tones reproduce the late autumn crowns of birch stands and are ideal for forest edges, riverbanks, cuttings and village outskirts in the middle and background of the layout.

In these small scales, individual birch leaves can no longer be represented. The fine, irregular foliage structure of the mat instead suggests light, airy crowns where small tufts mark volumes of foliage and let the characteristic white trunks and dark branches shimmer through. Depending on how finely you tear and stretch the material, you can create sparse late autumn birch stands, rows along embankments or small groves mixed with conifers and bare deciduous trees.
