Discover model railroad ballast and rock dust for realistic track beds, sidings, station areas, embankments and scenic roads. Different grain sizes allow you to match the material to your scale and the visual effect you want to create.

The range includes grades for N, TT, H0, 0 and 1, plus very fine dust. Rock dust is especially suitable for scale Z, for road and path construction, and for prototype-inspired sandy track beds used by some railways.

Natural-looking mineral textures help create convincing surfaces in layouts and dioramas. You can also mix nearby shades and grain sizes for a more varied and realistic appearance.

Tip for choosing the grain size: Use finer grades for smaller scales and delicate scenes, and coarser grades for larger scales or more rugged trackside areas.

Application tip: Spread the material evenly, shape it with a soft brush, then fix it with a suitable ballast glue and allow it to dry completely.
