The foliage mat with poplar foliage from miniNatur^® is a realistic material for greening self-built model trees in small scales from 1:160 to 1:220 (N to Z). Bright, slightly cool greens mixed with fresh lemon, straw yellow and pale ochre tones reproduce the light early autumn crowns of poplar stands and are ideal for riverside embankments, field boundaries, distant avenues and village outskirts in the middle and background of the layout.

In these small scales, the narrow, shimmering poplar leaves can no longer be represented individually. The very fine, irregular foliage structure of the mat instead suggests slender, light crowns in which the still green interior is already interspersed with shimmering yellow outer leaf zones. Depending on how finely you tear and stretch the material, you can model narrow poplar rows, riverside groves, small groups of trees or mixed stands with darker beech, oak and maple foliage in the background.
