The foliage mat with copper beech foliage from miniNatur® is a realistic material for creating dark red summer crowns on self-built trees in large scales around 1:45 and above. Deep wine-red and reddish-brown tones with subtle violet nuances are ideal for imposing copper beeches that are viewed from close range and should become focal points in the scene.
For large scales such as 1:45, 0 or garden railway, the slightly coarser foliage structure is tuned so that individual tufts read as small clusters of leaves without appearing fuzzy. By layering torn pieces of the mat, you can build tall, voluminous crowns, solitary park beeches or compact groups of trees with convincing texture and colour depth. As with real copper beeches, the intense red colouration is mainly limited to the growing season, so this version is intended as summer foliage.
