Typical model of a natural-looking forest edge spruce all year round, as usual at the edge of the forest, the needles on the outside almost reach the ground, on the inside the trunk is about 50 percent needled, the rest is covered with dead branches. This article is intended together with our forest spruces for the design of forests, whether pure spruce forests, mixed forests or mixed coniferous forests. You can also find matching combination articles here in the shop. Just follow the recommendations below.
The Common spruce (Picea abies), also known as European spruce, Red spruce, Spruce-fir, or Norway spruce, served as a model for this kind of tree, is spread throughout Europe (except the British Isles and the Iberian Peninsula), extending far into continental Asia and occurs under favorable conditions up to an altitude of over 2000 meters. It reaches a height of 40 meters in nature, but in extreme heights only 80 centimeters. Choose the right size for your model scale or follow our recommendation according to the nominal size of your model railway.
