Coreless Motors and Accessories

What is so special about coreless motors?
Due to their special design, coreless motors have no locking points, they can be rotated freely. This results in smooth running even at low speeds and a significantly reduced noise level.

Why convert your models to coreless motors?
The prime example: your locomotive is driving slowly into the station or approaching a stop signal. The slower the journey, the more the vehicle jerks. With a coreless motor, that's history. And when driving fast, the engine will no longer try to outperform the sound decoder.

What do you need to replace?
Unfortunately, there is no universal recipe for this. Ideally, you only exchange the manufacturer's motor for a suitable coreless motor and a shaft adapter and continue to use the worm and the flywheel. If the worm and flywheel cannot be removed from the original shaft, you will also need these parts. You can find everything here in the shop.
To make your purchase decision, first check whether your model has a single-shaft or double-shaft motor. Then measure the length and diameter of the manufacturer's motor and the length of the shaft(s). Feel free to measure twice before ordering.
Tip: You can of course install a motor of the same size as the original and use the original bracket. But you can also remove them and use a larger motor with higher performance and fix it with epoxy resin, for example.
