The birch foliage mat from miniNatur® is a realistic material for creating tall birch crowns in large scales around 1:45 and above. A lively mix of soft remaining greens and light lemon to golden yellows reproduces the bright early autumn crowns of slender birch trees and is ideal for foreground scenes with white trunks, village outskirts and forest edges on large-scale layouts.
For large scales such as 1:45, 0 or garden railway, the slightly coarser foliage structure is tuned so that individual tufts read as small clusters of birch leaves even at close viewing distances. By layering torn pieces of the mat, you can build light, slightly translucent crowns that leave enough space for the characteristic white trunks and main branches, creating convincing birch stands and avenues as real eye-catchers in the foreground.
