This handcrafted forest spruce adds a naturally varied evergreen crown to your model landscape throughout the year. The trunk is only partly covered with green needles, while the remaining section shows dry, dead branches just like in a mature forest stand. This makes the model ideal for dense spruce forests, mixed coniferous woods and realistic forest edges on your layout.
The Norway spruce (Picea abies), which serves as the prototype for this model, is one of the most widespread conifers in Europe and extends far into continental Asia. Under favourable conditions it occurs from lowlands up to altitudes of more than 2 000 metres and can reach natural heights of around 40 metres, while in exposed high mountain locations it remains much smaller.
