The metal pinion G0.5-5-2-8T is designed for model railway drives with 1.5 mm shafts. The 8-tooth gear transmits the motor torque reliably to the mating gear and is suitable for repairs, conversions and custom drives for locomotives and vehicles. It can also be used as a replacement for various Lima drives (depending on the model).

The precision-machined bore allows a play-free fit on shafts with 1.5 mm diameter. The outer diameter of 5.0 mm and the short length of 2.0 mm make the pinion suitable for gearboxes with very limited installation space and compact drive concepts.

Handling notes:

  • Always push the pinion straight onto the shaft without excessive force to avoid damaging the bore.
  • Deburr the shaft ends slightly if necessary so the pinion can be pushed on cleanly.
  • Align the pinion carefully to achieve the lowest possible runout.
  • If necessary, secure the connection to the shaft with a fast-curing metal adhesive to reliably prevent twisting or slipping.
